Where it all began
I never gave up because I was determined to get better in life and worked with zeal
I was born in a very poor family who lived in a rural and remote village of Sunkhuwasawa District called Madhi in 1988. My father Durga Bahadur Gurung and Mother Man Maya Gurung decided to migrate from Madhi with a little hope of our better life and my education to a nearby small city Basantapur. I grow up there. After completing my grade 10, almost all of my friends went to some urban cities for higher education. But, I joined intermediate program in Basantapur itself due to the weak economic condition of my family.
I ran different places for job including Nepal Army, but I was rejected everywhere. But I never gave up, I was motivated to fight for the British Army Program with strong determination and zeal. Finally, I got recruited in Singapore Police since on 2008. During my school days, I achieved used to participate in different tournaments and most often I always bagged with gold medals. After I joined Singapore Police, I kept participating in hundreds of events in a different level out of which the proudest moment I achieved was five gold medals, I won two gold medals for World Police fire competition on 2017 at USA & I won three gold medals in China on 2019 and I won Second medal in Malaysia on 2014, After my retirement from Singapore Gurkha Police regiment, I have a dream to support Nepal further for the betterment of Nepali athletes being coach or Mentor.
